Ballsy Pass #1

The latest round of the FIA F3 European Championship in Hockenheim was utterly dominated by Italian young gun Raffaele Marciello and Prema, and as a fellow-countryman I’m not going to complain about that.

Anyway, after watching all the three races, I believe that the award for the best move of the weekend should go to 20 year-old Felix Serralles from Puerto Rico. Driving for Fortec, Serralles dove on the outside of Carlin’s Jordan King, keeping his foot down on the kerb while entering the motodrom wheel to wheel with his rival and hence getting the inside line for an easy pass in the Sachs Kurve.
King made a standard call in defending the inside line, but it wasn’t enough. Probably he wasn’t expecting such a bold move from his rival.

While F1 keeps feeding us with a fake rubber-driven show we are lucky to have feeder championships as adrenaline suppliers.
